Night footage is what sold me—the ColorX tech picks up true colors in near-darkness, so I can actually tell my neighbor’s cat from a raccoon. The 4K HDR detail on the dome lens is sharp enough to read a license plate from across the driveway, and the PoE setup meant just one cable to run.

Setup took me about 15 minutes, but the payoff is worth it—the ColorX footage at night actually looks like a well-lit daytime scene, not grainy black-and-white. The HDR handles my porch’s harsh shadows and bright sunlight without washing anything out.

The 4K clarity is genuinely stunning during the day, but I'm most impressed with how the HDR keeps faces and details sharp even in tricky backlit spots. Setup was straightforward and the dome housing feels solid for outdoor mounting.
